Due to its topography and orientation, the Tamar Valley suffers from
smog in certain meterological conditions...
Declining water quality is an issue in inland waters, wetlands, coastal,
estuarine and marine environments...
Biodiversity is about more than just protecting wildlife and habitats
in nature conservation areas...
Loss of native vegetation has occurred in the region at a rapid rate
since the arrival of Europeans...
Our goals here are to effectively manage existing "nuisance"
fauna and flora and to prevent the introduction of any further species...
Our goals here are twofold: to define, stabilise and reduce adverse
sedimentation and to identify future opportunities for uses of the Tamar
Estuary and North Esk River.
We want to see soil used sustainably and within its capability, valued
as a finite resource and an essential part of our ecology and economy.
Our goals include: sustainably managing flows and the supply of water,
encouraging water storage and establishing and maintaining equitable water
useflows
We aim to encourage the natural maintenance of biological diversity
of species native to the Region.
Our goal here is to minimise solid waste generation and control
disposal.
